On August 7, 2023, the Xavier Foundation held its annual Donor Appreciation Reception, celebrating 25 years of faith, service, and xcellence! This year, we moved the festivities outdoors, only steps away from where ground was broken for the construction of Xavier High School, and enjoyed some beautiful weather and the amazing musical talent of ‘High Praise.’ This event is held to honor and appreciate members of the Xavier Foundation’s various giving societies.

On hand to help us celebrate and offer their reflections of what it was like 25 years ago as Xavier first opened were former Xavier Foundation Executive Director, Anne Cunningham, and Xavier Board of Education Chair in 1998, Mike Tilson (R65). Also sharing their appreciation and poignant messages were Xavier Foundation Board Chair, David Schimberg (R91), Xavier High School President, Chris McCarville (R97), and Xavier Foundation Advancement Director, Mary Harken. We were also blessed to be joined by Archdiocese of Dubuque Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Richard Pates, who delivered remarks about this milestone and Xavier’s continued commitment to its Catholic mission.
