The Xavier Performing Arts Department is gearing up for another exciting season, and this fall, they’re bringing a delightfully ghoulish production to life: The Addams Family – School Edition.
Next week, students will step into the spotlight (or behind the scenes) as auditions officially begin. Whether it’s Wednesday or Thursday afternoon in the choir room, energy will be high and creativity will be flowing. The directing team, Mrs. Lee, Mr. Schroetter, and Ms. Ludwig, can’t wait to see what our talented Saints bring to the stage.
But the musical isn’t just for singers and dancers. Students who want to contribute in a different way are encouraged to join the Theatre Tech Crew, where they’ll help make the magic happen behind the curtain. With a show like this one, the crew plays a huge role, and in fact, the cast will be helping with scene changes too, making this a fully collaborative effort from start to finish.
So whether you’re dreaming of playing Gomez or Morticia, or you’re more of a spotlight-operator than a spotlight-stealer, there’s a place for everyone in this production. This year’s fall musical promises to be fun, eerie, and full of heart. We can’t wait to see it come to life.
