Records Fall at the Linn-Mar Cross Country Invite
The Xavier Cross Country team turned in an outstanding performance at the Linn-Mar Invite on Saturday. The girls team had several standouts, led by Mia Deegan, who finished 5th overall, and Sophia Musick, who placed 19th. But it was freshman Raleigh Barton who stole the spotlight, finishing 6th overall and setting a new freshman school record with a time of 19:55. On the boys’ side, Andrew Allen finished 10th overall and set a new sophomore school record, continuing his incredible momentum this season. Well done, Saints!
Friday Night Win + Homecoming Anticipation
The Saints Football Team continued its strong start to the season with a 21–13 victory over Western Dubuque last Friday night. With a physical and balanced attack, the team kept the pressure on all game long. This week, all eyes are on Homecoming as the Saints get ready to face Clear Creek Amana under the lights.

Saints Golf Takes CRANDIC Title in Style
The Boys Golf Team brought home a huge win at the CRANDIC Tournament held at Airport National, finishing with a stellar team score of 264. Logan Otting led the way as medalist, shooting a blazing 60. He was followed closely by Jacob Schmit, who finished 4th overall with a 66, and Jack Pauly, who tied for 5th with a 68. An incredible showing from a deep and focused squad—great job, golfers!
Saints Swimmers Stack Up the Wins
It was another strong meet for our Saints Swimmers on Tuesday, with multiple top finishes:
Lilly Anctil dominated the pool with 1st place finishes in the 200 Yd Medley Relay, 50 Yd Freestyle, 100 Yd Freestyle, and 200 Yd Freestyle Relay.
Lucy Nunez also placed 1st in both the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay, and added 3rd place finishes in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Breaststroke.
Sarah Foerster took 1st in the Medley Relay, and grabbed 2nd place in the 500 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, and 400 Freestyle Relay.
Lydia Lueth rounded out the top finishers with a 3rd place in the 200 IM and the 200 Freestyle Relay.
The girls continue to show versatility and strength across the board—keep it up in the lanes!
Academic Honors for John Yacoub
A huge congratulations to senior John Yacoub for being named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist!
