XCS News & Updates
Holy Week 2026 Parish Events Holy Week is the most sacred time in the Catholic Church, inviting us to journey with Jesus through His Passion, death, and Resurrection. Beginning with Palm Sunday and culminating in the joy of Easter, this week calls our school community to prayer, reflection, and renewed faith. At Xavier Catholic Schools, Holy Week is a special opportunity for students, families, and staff to come together in worship and service. Through liturgies, classroom activities, and moments of quiet reflection, we remember Christ’s love and sacrifice -- and celebrate the hope and new life found in His Resurrection. We invite you to join us as we walk this meaningful path together, deepening our faith and growing as a community rooted in Christ.
Holy Week events in our supporting parishes can be found at https://crxcs.org/holyweek. Legislative Action Alert
Catholic schools are an important option for families and Senate File 2425/House File 2713 helps strengthen and support our schools. These bills expand access to preschool, provide added flexibility for ESA enrollment, and improve access to funding for school facilities. We encourage families to contact their state legislators to express support for these efforts. Your voice matters in sustaining Catholic education across Iowa. Click here to send your legislator(s) a message.
